Detailed Itinerary for 10 Day Uganda Primates, Kenya & Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast starts the drive to Bwindi Forest starts, this drive takes you through different towns and villages, where you will enjoy fruit and vegetables at roadside markets. on the have, stopover at the Uganda Equator monument for photography moments, next stop will be in Mbarara town for lunch, and after this, you will proceed with the driver to Bwindi Forest.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

After breakfast early in the morning, your driver/guide will transfer you to Rushaga sector headquarters in Bwindi Forest for a briefing and guidance on what to expect during mountain gorilla trekking. During this activity, you will be guided by professional researchers and well-experienced park rangers/guides.

This gorilla trekking experience allows interaction with mountain gorillas. The trekking experience also gives the opportunity to get a closer look at their life, whereby they get a lot of information from the rangers and researchers who have been following the gorilla family under the habituation process.

Day 3: Drive from Bwindi Forest to Kibale Forest

After breakfast start the drive from Bwindi Forest to Kibale forest national park for chimpanzee habituation, The drive from Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Kibale forest takes you through the different villages, terraced hills, and also in Queen Elisabeth national park, have a stopover in Fort portal town for lunch and continue Kibale forest national park for dinner and overnight as you prepare for chimpanzee habituation experience next day.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience in Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the briefing center, and after you will enter the Kibale forest and start a chimpanzee trekking experience guided by professional researchers and well-experienced park ranger guides. once you have found a chimpanzee, you will be able to spend up to one hour with the chimps.

You will be required to take with packed lunch and also enough drinking water because this activity takes between 6 to 8 hours, which is almost the whole day as you interact with 99 percent of humans’ closest relatives, the chimpanzees.

Day 5: Drive back to Entebbe Airport for evening flight to Nairobi/Kenya

After breakfast, your driver-guide will transfer you back to Entebbe International Airport for the evening flight to Kenya.

 Day 6: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park

Your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel in Nairobi and transfer you to Masai Mara; this drive takes you through scenic views to the beautiful highlands of Kenya and also takes you through the rift valley before arriving in Masai Mara National Park. Dinner and overnight at Masai-Mara Sopa lodge

Day 7: Full day exploration of Masai Mara National Park

After breakfast in the morning, your driver guide will transfer you to Masai Mara National Park for a morning game drive in the park, you will have a lunch break in the park, and after, go for an afternoon game drive as you drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Masai-Mara Sopa lodge

Day 8: Drive to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti is home to over 3 million wild animals, also Serengeti national has the larger savannah protected area than any other savannah national park in Africa and in the world, during your tour in Serengeti you will also get opportunity to visit the UNESCO heritage site of Oduvai gorge, you will have a chance to learn much about the human evolution with the researchers at Oduvai gorge. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti lodge.

Day 9: Go for a full day game viewing in Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park offers the best wildlife viewing in East Africa. The Serengeti accommodates over 3 million wild animals, including Africa’s famous big five: wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, ostriches, and many bird species. Game viewing in Serengeti starts early in the morning, which increases your chance of spotting almost all the large mammals mentioned above. You will have a lunch stopover, and after, continue with an afternoon game drive, where you will be able to see more animals active in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti lodge.
