This 4 days tour takes you to Lake Mburo National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park, this is one of the most visited parks in Uganda. Enjoy game drives along Kasenyi tracks, a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel, a visit to Katwe Salt Lake Etc. Look out for animals like leopards, lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, etc. Thereafter transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for yet another exciting adventure which included a boat cruise on Lake Mburo and game viewing along different tracks
Lake Mburo National Park harbors several species not observed elsewhere in Uganda. Lake Mburo is one of the best places in East Africa that has the highest population of impala (from which Kampala city got its name), Lake Mburo is also one of the three protected areas in Uganda where you can find a big population of zebras, other animals include antelopes that are east to seen and topi, buffalo, hippopotamus, large herds of the majestic eland, bushbuck, warthog, bush-pig common duiker, oribi, waterbuck and an opportunity of seeing Rothschild giraffes, the vervet monkey and olive baboon are the common primates in Lake Mburo.
Nocturnal calls of the spotted hyena are a very common sound through the night while in Lake Mburo National Park, this park is also one of the places in Uganda where you have higher chances of seeing more than one Leopard when on the game viewing with side-striped jackal and other various smaller predators of this area.
Meet you in Kisoro and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, En route, you will have a few stopovers for a photographic opportunity. The journey then continues to Kabale then to continue with the drive onwards; a drive that will take you through Uganda’s rolling green hills covered with tea plantations through the highlands, before making the final journey to Queen Elisabeth National Park. Check in at your accommodation and after go for an evening game drive.
Accommodations Options:
Have an early morning warm-up cup of coffee or tea, you will head to Kaseny tracks for a game viewing in search of different animals such as leopards, hyenas, lions, large hard of cape buffalos and elephants, Kobs warthogs, and waterbucks. You will have also an opportunity to see different bird species, Queen Elisabeth National Park has over 606 bird species that have been recorded in the area mostly along the Kazinga channel.
In the afternoon you will go for yet another relaxing exciting boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel that connects Lake Gorge and Lake Edward. This boat ride gives you a chance for good photography, of animals, and birds along the Kazinga channel at close range.
Accommodations Options:
After early morning breakfast, go for a brief game drive after we drive heading to Lake Mburo. En route, have a stopover in Mbarara city. You will reach Lake Mburo in the afternoon in time for lunch and a boat cruise, This park is good for game viewing and birding. Take a game drive in the afternoon and look out for zebras, topis, buffalo, Elland, impala, water hogs, waterbucks, etc, later in the evening go for an evening game drive.
Accommodations Options:
After early breakfast go for a morning game drive towards Rwonyo which is the best place to spot giraffes and large hard of zebras and buffalos. Other animals to see includes leopard, hyenas, hippos, impala, and topi. After the morning exploration of Lake Mburo, return to the lodge, you checking out before starting the scenic drive to Kisoro. On your way to Kisoro out of the park you will see most of the animal species that you missed on the morning game drive.
We drive through a magnificent hilly country and lush cultivation on an approximately five to six-hours journey. You will be in Kisoro in the evening.
