Uganda has introduced promotional gorilla and chimpanzee permits discounts and on other national park entrance fees for three months which started from 1st December 2020 to 30th March 2021, Kisoro tours Uganda recommends to all tourists and other visitors to take advantage of this half price on both gorilla tracking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park and Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park.
Because of the effects of the covid19 pandemic on Uganda’s tourism industry, Uganda Wildlife Authority is offering gorilla and chimp permits at half price, for those who love bird watching also is being offered on the half price and also fees for the most famous attractions in Uganda has been reduced.

Uganda discounted gorilla permit fees for 2021
- For Ugandans and other East African Community citizens, the gorilla trekking permits has been reduced from 250,000 Uganda shillings to 150,000 Uganda shillings which are about $42 per person
- For the Foreign Resident, the gorilla trekking permits have been reduced from $600 to $300 per person which is a 50% discount.
- For the Foreign Non-Resident, the gorilla trekking permits has been reduced from $700 to $400 per person which is also almost 50% discount
Chimpanzee discounted fees in Uganda for 2021
- For the Ugandan and other East African Community resident chimpanzee trekking permits has been reduced from 150,000 Uganda to 100,000 Uganda shillings which is just about $28 per person
- For the Foreign Resident, chimpanzee trekking permits has been reduced from $150 to $100 per person
- For the Foreign Non-Resident, chimpanzee trekking permits has been reduced from $200 to $150 per person
