Uganda gorilla permits price was increased from $600 to $700 per person starting from 1st July 2020 so those who are planning gorilla trekking safari, please plan accordingly. This announcement was made during a consultative meeting with all stakeholders including the association of Uganda Tour operators (AUTO).
Effective from July 2020 new Uganda gorilla permit price for Foreign non-residents is $700 for each permit, the new permit price for foreign residents is $600 while Ugandan and East African gorilla permit cost only 250, 000 Uganda shillings which are about $70 per person, this gorilla permit allows you to spend one full hour with Uganda mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park or in Mgahinga gorilla national park.

When you buy a chimpanzee trekking permit for Kibale forest national park it costs $200 per person for foreign non-residents and $150 for foreign residents and it includes entrance fees. Entrance fees for Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park, you already know as we have seen the trekking permits prices above which include entry fees but if you are going for bird watching or natural walking the entry fee is $70 per person.
