Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge can be accessed from Kisoro Town or from Kabale Town with a car and it can also be accessed through Buhoma park headquarters on foot the walk takes about 3 hours through Bwindi Forest, as you drive from Kisoro or Kabale enjoy the amazing views of the mountains and forest, the drive will take about 2 hours before you arrive at the Lodge, which is on the top of a hill overlooking the surrounding hills.
While staying at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge you will track the Nkuringo gorilla family of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Nkuringo gorilla trekking area it was officially opened for tourists in October 2004, Uganda Wildlife Authority began to officially offer gorilla tracking permits for the Nkuringo area, Nkuringo gorilla group/family has over 19 individuals and is set to add on more with upcoming newborn babies and also one more gorilla families are being habituated which soon it will be opened for tourism.
