Mountain Gorilla Number Increased to 1004-Gorilla Census Results 2018, the wild mountain gorilla census 2018 is released, records are showing that mountain gorilla population that lives in the Virunga mountains range (Massif) and mountain gorilla population living in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park of Uganda has increased brings the current total number of mountain gorillas to 1,004 individual gorillas.
The tourism lovers have a good reason for celebrating the increasing of mountain gorilla population new estimates indicating 1004 wild mountain gorillas are still surviving in its natural habitat in the Virunga Massif and in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park located in southwestern Uganda. The current census result coming in for the Wild Mountain gorilla population has exceeded our expectations; the result is a combined effort from Uganda, Rwanda, and DR-Congo
The announcement of an increase in mountain gorilla population in its natural habitat is one of the biggest success story that whoever is in the tourism industry, conservationist and those who work very hard to make sure that mountain gorillas are safe has to celebrate
The new research indicates that there is a stable increase in the wild mountain gorilla population this means that all conservation organizations in Uganda, Rwanda, and DR-Congo, also a very big thanks goes all communities living in the areas surrounding Virunga mountain range and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for taking part in protecting the remaining mountain gorillas in the world because we all know that mountain gorilla Conservation combined efforts from all stakeholders.

Wild mountain gorilla population in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and in Virunga mountain range over the years it has doubled even when knowing that there are still some cases of threats of poaching, civil conflict more especially on DR-Congo side
Mountain gorilla experts and researchers say that the increase of gorilla population is a good example of how the Authorities in Uganda, Rwanda, and DR-Congo has put efforts to conserve these endangered species, also not forgetting the hard work of park staff like a ranger who are always on the ground to protect those endangered mountain gorillas.
