Chimpanzees share 99% DNA with a human but the fact is that most people get to see these primates in the Zoo, for those who wish to see chimpanzees in the wild natural habitat in the big number, the number one recommended place to visit is Kibale forest national park in Uganda and Nyungwe forest national park in Rwanda. Primates are always active and mobile in the morning hours so you must be able to walk for few hours in order to catch up with them as they swinging from tree to tree in the impenetrable forest as they look for different types of foods, In the mid-morning when the sun is getting strong, they often come down from the trees and relax on the ground as also the dominate males enjoy sex as the young ones are playing each other and this will be the best time to get the best photos and videos of African primates in the wild. In the evening they will make nests and go to bed, at this point, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
NOTE: There is an age limit for both gorilla tracking and gorilla habituation experience which is 15 years and above, age limit for chimpanzee tracking, and chimpanzee habituation experience is 16 years.
