Uganda Expands Entebbe International Airport-Uganda Tourism, Uganda government is expanding Entebbe International Airport which is Uganda’s main entry point; travelers including tourists who are coming for gorilla tracking Chimpanzee tracking, golden monkey tracking, and other Uganda tourists attractions and destinations in Uganda, the Authorities at Entebbe International Airport which is Uganda Civil Aviation Authority is making big progress on the expansion of the airport.
Entebbe International Airport’s expansion is expected to finish all works by 2018 if all goes well, this is seen as a strong ground for national development and promoting Uganda as the number one destination in East Africa as well as a positive move to the refurbishment of Uganda’s critical national infrastructure.
Uganda is one of East Africa’s tourist and investment destinations so the expansion of Entebbe International Airport will increase the traffic of passengers and also more international airlines will come/flying to Entebbe Airport-Uganda.
Uganda Civil Aviation Authority says that the whole project of expanding Entebbe Airport will cost USD 400 million to complete the expansion of Entebbe International Airport.
The discussions of expanding and Uganda as the number one destination in East Africa have been going on for a few years now the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is making headway of started the process.
The plan to upgrade Entebbe International Airport was first unveiled In January 2015 by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the construction includes the new passenger terminal complex to handle the increased number of tourist and other passengers/travelers and also a new cargo terminal.
