Kisoro tours Uganda will make your reservations after we have received a 30% deposit of the total cost of the tour and the full payment for the gorilla trekking permit and chimpanzee permit for each person participating in this tour. The remaining balance of the tour is normally paid 3 weeks before starting date of your tour.
In both Rwanda and Uganda, gorilla permits are issued by Government bodies responsible for tourism and conservation. For example, in Uganda, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is responsible for issuing all gorilla permits while in Rwanda, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) does the same.

- Two months (46 to 90 days) 50% will be refunded

Checking gorilla permits availability
Gorilla permit availability will depend on which country you intend to trek gorillas from and also each country has a different number of habituated gorilla families. Each gorilla family is visited by 8 people per day. Uganda has 20 gorilla habituated families in both Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Rwanda has 10 gorilla habituated families in Volcanoes National Park. What is the chance of seeing mountain gorillas in Uganda or Rwanda?
As long as you are fit enough to walk/hike through Bwindi forest or in Volcanoes national park for about 2 to 5 hours, I must say that the chances of seeing mountain gorillas are 100% guaranteed. Tourists and all other travelers who trek gorillas and fail to reach them due to sickness or physical inabilities are taken back by the park ranger to the starting point and if you still have some energy you can be taken to a nearby gorilla group/family this is to say if there is any. If you have physical abilities please talk to your guide/diver a day before tracking so that he can try to request a gorilla family which is not far to suit your physical ability.
