7 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari from Kigali

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali City tour and transfer to Bwindi Forest National park.

From Kanombe airport in Kigali, you will be welcomed by our own guide who will gladly take you on a city tour. On arrival, you will be mesmerized by the natural beauty of Rwanda the land of thousands of hills. It’s such a clean city with hospitable people who will be warmly happy to receive you.

The first spot that tourists visit when on a city tour in Rwanda is the genocide memorial museum; it has information about how this war started. You continue visiting the national museum and other attractive sites in the city (the Kigali City tour is optional). You will enjoy an adventurous drive through the terraced hills as you access the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the Uganda Kisoro area it’s a famous home for the great mountain gorillas.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Day in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Early morning, breakfast with your packed lunch, you will report to the Park headquarters for registration and join other trackers in a briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your gorilla trekking in gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest at 7:45 am.

You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which can take you half an hour to three-quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures.

Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Have breakfast early morning and proceed for golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga, this is another existing moment. Prior to meeting the golden monkeys, you will see other primates, fauna and flora. Finally, get face to face with the beautiful golden monkeys. You will see them play as they jump from one branch of the trees to the other; all this will be amazing and memorable for your safari.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Nation Park for a game drive & boat cruise

After breakfast, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you through the Ishasha sector arriving at  Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will have a game drive en route where you might spot games along the way as you transfer to the park headquarters. Watch out for tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive and transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, embark on the morning game drive which will take you through the parts of Queen Elizabeth National Park and in the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel that connects lakes, Edward and George. The launch cruise will reward you with a game like hippos, elephants, buffaloes and birds at the shores, thereafter we transfer you to Kibale National Park.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk

You will, after breakfast, head to Kibale Forest to view the primates. The activity begins at 8.00 am with a briefing on the rule for Uganda chimpanzee trekking after which you set off to search for them in the forest. The exercise takes half a day and along the way, you will see other Uganda primates such as Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Red-Colobus and the Blue-tailed and the Red-tailed monkeys swinging in the branches of this thick forest. Your guide will give you informative briefings on the lifestyles of the primates you will be coming across and on the plants as well as on the insects and butterflies in this forest to ensure that the trek is not only enjoyable but informative as well. You will return to the lodge for lunch after the afternoon you will go for a Bigodi swamp walk.

Day 7: Departure to Kigali
