Gorilla trekking is done in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and in Mgahinga gorilla national park both are located in Uganda and in Volcanoes national park of Rwanda, in these parks, it is often warm more especially during the dry season in the month of June, July, August, October, September, December, and January but still, in the mornings and evenings, it is cold so a warm jacket, rain jacket, garden gloves, and walking boots/ shoes.
When going for both gorilla and chimpanzee trekking in Uganda or in Rwanda, Kisoro tours recommend that you must include this clothing to help protect you against scratches, so please bring long sleeve shirt, trousers, and a good pair of lightweight walking boots. Protective leather gloves or gardening gloves are also useful, and a pair of gaiters.
While in Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, and Mgahinga gorilla national park or in Volcanoes national park of Rwanda, usually weather and temperature can change at any time of the day, so it also recommended to bring a light jumper and lightweight waterproof jacket and trousers. A lightweight small backpack is also recommended because you can use it to carry your pack lunch, camera, drinking water, and another thing you may need while trekking.
For those who are not sure about their fitness leave we recommend that you take a porter, a porter is worth taking because it provides local people with day employment and they will give you a helping hand on up and down while in the forest on the steep terrain.
